JERSEY BOYS...the broadway musical is about to open at London's Prince Edward Theatre. Jersey Boys tells the story
of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
In 2006 Jersey Boys won several Tony
Awards at the 2006 ceremony, including Best Musical, after opening
on Broadway in November 2005 . The new London production of
Jersey Boys is led
by director Des McAnuff, choreographed by Sergio Trujillo and staged
by the entire Broadway creative team.
The story of Jersey Boys follows four
blue collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks – Frankie Valli,
Tommy DeVito, Bob Gaudio and Nick Massi – as
they become one of the biggest American pop bands of the 1960s.
The band's songs include Sherry, Walk Like A Man, December 1963
(Oh What A Night), Big Girls Don't Cry, Bye Bye Baby and Can't
Take My Eyes Off You. The musical is written by Marshall Brickman
and Rick Elice, with lyrics by Bob Crewe and music by Gaudio.
